Sunny Beach is the largest tourist complex along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. With its 200 hotels, lined along the seacoast or hidden in the cool green park, Sunny Beach resembled a magical oasis.
Sunny beach resort complex is located along the southern Black Sea coast, about 30 km from the district center of Burgas, 100 km from Varna – the Black Sea capital of Bulgaria and 3 km from the ancient Nessebar. It is located within a crescent-shaped bay, open to the east. To the north the resort is surrounded by the foothills of Stara Planina Mountain, where sea and mountain reside in perfect harmony, and to the south it is crowned with picturesque Nessebar.
The beach line is 8 km long and 30 m – in places up to 60 m wide, covered with fine golden sand and with natural sand dunes. Many rare plant species grow here. The sea is clean and without dangerous or predatory fish. The average temperature of the sea water is 20-26 °C, and its salinity is twice lower than that of the Mediterranean.
